Austin Achieve is a tuition-free public charter school. Our mission is to prepare East Austin youth to attend and excel at top universities. We ensure every student is college-ready through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach, including academics, social and emotional development, and exposure to a wide array of extracurricular opportunities. We graduate well-rounded students ready to excel in college and compete in the global economy. Through our commitment to neighborhood outreach and inclusion, we work with a variety of nonprofit and community organizations. These partnerships allow us to offer engaging programs for our students and their families.
The Arc of the Capital Area empowers central Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families through compassionate case management and innovative programs. Examples of I/DD include autism, spina bifida, seizure disorder, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and down syndrome. Those who work and volunteer at the Arc envision a future in which people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the same opportunities as others to pursue full and productive lives.
West Austin Youth Association is a privately funded, nonprofit organization that was founded in 1981 to provide recreational opportunities for the youth of Austin. WAYA serves over 4,000 youth in 60 zip codes throughout the Austin area with over 30 sports programs and activities annually.
